We know your child’s safety is important to you and we share in that concern. We go to great lengths to ensure that Journey Kids is a safe and enjoyable experience. All of our volunteers are screened and undergo a federal background check and we utilize the KidCheck program to generate parent/child security tags for each child attending one of our services.
What’s the first question you ask when you pick your child up? “Did you have fun?” Every week we ask ourselves the same question. “Did kids have fun today?” We want kids to love coming to church to learn about Jesus. We know that fun is a big part of that, so we go out of our way to make sure that Journey Kids is a place that’s fun for kids of all ages.
If the first question is, “Did you have fun?” the second is, “What did you learn?” We want kids to learn about Jesus in a way that makes sense to them. Our environments and teaching methods are all created to help your kids understand the Bible and learn to apply it’s teaching to their life.
It is helpful to arrive about 15 minutes before the service starts. When you arrive, one of our volunteers will meet your family and help you create an account for your child in our KidCheck database system. The volunteer will show you to the classroom and introduce you to the teacher.
You and your child will be given matching security tags that are unique to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion of your matching security tags, which bears a code that the classroom teacher will match to your portion before releasing your child at the end of the service.
Click HERE to create a KidCheck account for your child prior to coming to a service. If your child needs you during the service, the unique code from your security tag will be displayed on the bottom of the screen in the adult worship service.
